Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked BelgianOkapi Aalst (13-8) won against at home 11th ranked Dutch ZZ Leiden (10-11) 80-71 on Friday. Aalst shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Bosnian forward Njegos Sikiras (205-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Niels Van Den Eynde (179-2000) chipped in 12 points and 13 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Jordan Davis (190-1998, college: Jacksonville) responded with 16 points and his fellow American import guard Aaron Cook (188-1997, college: Georgia) scored 14 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Five Aalst and four ZZ Leiden players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalst have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Brussels. Defending Dutch champion ZZ Leiden dropped to the thirteenth position with 11 games lost.
